Knit this colorful hat – based on BB-8 from Star Wars: The Force Awakens – to let everyone know that you love all Star Wars fans, regardless of how many movies they’ve seen or books they’ve read.
I saw the Force Awakens on Friday and I loved it. I cast on for the hat Saturday and had it finished by Sunday evening.
Several years ago – back before I started knitting – I made a R2-D2 hat based on the pattern in the Official Star Wars Craft Book. I had never crocheted before. Needless to say it turned out poorly, although I did wear it several times.

Yarns:
- You’ll need one skein of white yarn, plus grey, orange, and black.
Needles
- I recommend round needles and DPNs in whatever size you choose to obtain gauge.
Other Materials
- Tapestry Needle
- Stitch markers: I recommend 11 with one of a different color or style.
